DOOOOONE!

Or well, finger's crossed until the results are out. So far I've bonded with tequila. And that's about all I can tell for sure. The blue marks on my body confirm I seem to have been fallen around more than usual. It's all a mystery really. Other than this I can inform you that I have tried to start packing. Let's just say, I'll try again a little bit later. Then I am going to purchase christmas gifts and hopefully receive this alleged parcel which is about....two months too late....and according the webpage have been in transit from Joburg since the 2nd November. It must be growing legs and walking here itself. Also I've been baking! A cardamon-cake! Too yummy!

That's about it. I shall try to choose one of the endless amounts of books which mother dearest sent, and make myself a cup of tea and crawl up in bed.

Tomorrow I shall be cleaning. Oh how nice to vacuum and dust away all the exam-stress!

Thursday, November 22

The joy about reading about autonomy, 02.13 in the morning. I mean, it doesn't get much better than this. It involves satisfying one's own preferences rather than having them satisfied by others, and it involves accomplishing things rather than merely enjoying well-being. It's too amazing really. 4 questions a 25 marks. 9.00 in the fucking morning. Lovelovelove!

Wednesday, November 21

So there's 13.5 hours left until my last exam.
How much do I know you might wonder.
Well dear admirers it is not as much as one would expect.
I do however know that I have a thousand mosquito-bites.

That's about it.
Farewell.

Tuesday, November 20

I found a cap I bought when I was in CT with mother dearest!
Too nice!
Now: Summer's Memorandum, Schooling Vouchers and Unemployment...
Final undergrad - Economics module!
*Finger's Crossed*
So I wake up so an email from one of my professors:

Several students write: “The government must higher more teachers."
How high?
How must they be lifted, with a rope around their necks?

...then he gets a reply....

Dear Sir
I am sure I am one of those students what we mean is that if the government could invest more on education,to be able to hire more teachers. And maybe give incentives to teachers to inspire them to always do their jobs with passion and determination.

....which he replies to...

Dear Ms Makinza,

Fortunately, a nod is as good as a wink, or, if you allow me to be less modest: a few words to the wise suffice.

...Ah it's too great to almost be done..!

Monday, November 19

So Ali and I went to eat. Now I have a food baby. Can barely move. So sad. Watching Boardwalk Empire. Episode 10. Lovelovelove! Contemplating changing into my new sleeping shorts that I got from Nay. And light candles. And make myself a cup of coffee. Ah life is too nice sometimes!

For those who don't know what to get me for my graduation present. Here is an example:

Aaah! There could actually be so that I can graduate next year after all!

Let me walk you through my morning. So I put the alarm on for 5.30 so I can go through all multiple choice questions again as the lecturer have been repeating questions in both semester tests (hello 96% DP!). Press snooze. Press snooze. Press snooze. Glance at the papers but my eyes hurt too much due to lack of sleep. Snooze. Snooze. Snooze. Drag myself out of bed at 8.20. Find a dress and baseball cardigan. Brush my teeth. Trying to find a calculator. Find a calculator. Double check I have my student card. Find sunglasses. Car keys. Grab a croissant and red bull from the fridge. Unlock my door. Step outside. Lock my door. Walk to my car, unlock it and place everything I'm carrying onto the passenger seat. Praise my excellent taste in music when the CD starts playing. Reverse and open the gate simultaneously. Eat the croissant while driving to Summerstrand. Arrive at the Indoor Sport Centre, park as far away as possible....not by choice. Have a smoke while walking to the venue. Find a place to sit. Sit down. Fill out papers of not cheating and what not. 9.00. Receive the paper. Two hours to go. Turn the paper over. Go straight to the long questions..... I UNDERSTAND THE FIRST ONE, I UNDERSTAND THE SECOND ONE, OH MY FUUUUCK I UNDERSTAND THE THIRD ONE ASWELL!!!!! (All inside my head obviously). Answer the questions. Guess my way through MPC as she's merely repeating two questions. Oh the relief!

Now there's only Development and Economic Ethics left on Thursday. But today I shall be resting. Just took a looong shower and busy watching Criminal Minds and drinking coffee. And finally the tap in the kitchen is fixed after some plumber fella was here to sort it out.

Anyhow, went and got Nandos and returned Matt's phone. Was waiting in the five-way-crossing and the lady (assuming it was a she...) across seemed to have better things to do than drive so I drove, figured she'll see that and wait... But oh how wrong I was. But suppose she saw me eventually cause I'm still alive and my car don't have more dents than usually. That was about how exciting that trip was.

Saturday, November 17

So labour economics..is about as much fun as one could anticipate I suppose.
Ahh, I just want some holiday. And alcohol. Oh sweetsweet alcohol <3 p="p">

Friday, November 16

My lips are dry - maybe from missing yours, maybe because of the sun. I'm not sure. Because I know it's for the better that you're not coming back. Because I'm finally too whole to break, and you're too broken to fix.

Monday, November 12

Sunday, November 11

So Company Law is finished and done with, unless the mark allocation fucked me over totally. Went to watch the Arsenal game after that and met some fella who has two boyfriends and they are all living together. And for that brief second my life seemed so very normal. Then we had supper and I went home to watch the latest episode of Greys and Partners. Woke up this morning and went to print stuff at the labs. I really need to buy ink for my printer...

After a pop-in by Ali I'm trying to focus on Development Economics. Writing on Tuesday and I just want to crawl into a ball until Matt gets back. It is rather surreal how this man has the timing of a god in order to be out of town when I'm turing into a wreck.

Anyway, need some red bull and a bitch slap to get somewhere.

Monday, November 5

Stuck studying. And eating. That's about all i do. And drink coffee obviously. Feeling like an oversized big mama who's brain is busy decomposing as we speak. But not without the excruciating pain which is making me want to chop off this head of mine.

Tomorrow I'm saving the world then studying some more. It is oh so depressing.

Thursday, November 1

So all DPs are in the baaaaag!

Exams are written as follows:

  • Company Law - 10 November - 14.00
  • Development Economics - 13 November - 14.00
  • Labour Economics - 19 November - 9.00
  • Economic and Development Ethics - 22 November - 9.00
Then I'm going to Sweden the 7th December.
Hopefully with this goddamn BCom Law degree as my new best friend.

What I want for graduation present?
  • Camera
  • Watch
  • Espresso machine
  • New garden
  • ....... Or just an indication of the right direction for my life haha.
